My mom always baked the best cakes, cupcakes and cookies.  I just liked to decorate everything! My mom would bake her cakes in a half sheet pan and we had this half sheet plastic board to put the decorated cake on.  Friends joked that we could sell them “one cake at a time” since we only had the one pan and one board.  20 years ago I was asked to make a wedding cake and that was my first order and the creation of One Cake at a Time!  Mom is still my biggest fan and I am hers.
